Cross Link Radio is now available on Stitcher.com which offers over 15,000 radio shows and podcasts. Online radio is a growing phenomenon. The PEW institute reports that online talk radio growth over the last five years. However, not much talk is about health topics through the dental filter. Other than, floss more, few health shows address dental topics. Starting in March 2013, dental hygienist Shirley Gutkowski has been filling that niche.
Cross Link Radio on Blogtalkradio is a daily radio program that explores all aspects of health, from work and hobbies to inflammation, wellness, and biofilm disease. Host, Shirley Gutkowski, is joined by producers Diana Corbin and Laurie Samuels who find interesting guests and collaborate on developing interesting topics including specials like The Autism Experience last June and the upcoming The Sjögren's Experience.
The shows are an interview format with guest ranging from the Barnes couple who forage for food as a hobby, to Candis Krzaczyk who runs Sycamore Salon – the Organic Option in Newtown Pennsylvania to Dr. Eric Zaremski a dentist who uses ozone in his Marin County practice. Traditional dental topics are also covered, Shannon Pace Brinker (@shannonPace), Dr. Michael Gelb (@drgelb) and others are interviewed on their topics.
“I really want people to know what “the oral system link” means. I also want them to know how to ask better questions at their dental office, and expect better answers,” says host Shirley Gutkowski. “Having the shows available on a two huge platforms gives the program an even bigger audience.”
